How do I get him to like me?

so there is this guy. i was friends with him for a while. i thought he liked me, until he started going out with HER on my birthday. After i just removed him from my life because i was mad at him. then i started talking to him again, and then out of nowhere he just stops responding to my texts and IMs. im just so confused!
