Australia Camping Places?

I was watching this guy on Youtube who is exploring Australia. He was camping out and such. There was footage in his video that when they woke up and came out of their tents there were little kangaroos. He was able to go up and pet them and they followed him around! What are some good camping places to see/pet or just see some non-dangerous animals? And where can you camp to have little kangaroos hanging around?
