Is there a stage version of "A walk to remember"?

Next year for my theatre cl I have to suggest a play to produce, the movie "A walk to remember" with Mandy Moore, by Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite movies and I would love to find a stage version of the script. Does any one know if one is published? And if not, can I turn it into a script for stage? And how would I get the rights?
